User Management

Explains how to use the user management features.

Overview

  • This is intended for removing individual users who engage in misconduct such as trolling, or for deleting profiles of users who are clearly no longer using the service due to graduation or transfer.
  • You can also edit the tags of searched users.
  • Profiles remain if the account deletion has not been performed.
  • The number of profiles is counted toward Miley's user count, so it is recommended to delete profiles that are no longer in use.

  • Press the button to display search options.
  • Search by group, name, phonetic reading, tags, etc.

Unregister all groups members

  • You can reset group memberships for all users.

Extraction of unregistered users

  • Input a CSV file of member names to extract members who are not yet registered in Miley.

  • Search by group
    • Search from members of a group.
  • Search by name
    • Search by profile name.
  • Search by kana
    • Search by the phonetic reading of the profile name.
  • Search by tag
    • Search by profile tags.
  • Search by date
    • Search for users who have not updated their profile information since the specified date.
    • This is intended to find users who have not changed to new classes or groups at the start of a new school year.
  • Search for notification error users
    • Search for users for whom push notifications to their smartphones failed, or for whom email sent when push fails also failed.
    • These users are likely no longer using the service.
  • Search for profiles, forgotten to delete account
    • Search for profiles likely to have uninstalled the app without deleting their account.
  • Name and phonetic reading use prefix matching. For example, typing “Miley” will match “Miley Taro” and “Miley Hanako”.
  • Tags use exact match, so they must match completely to be found.

Search results

  • Search results are displayed below.
  • Select the users to delete profiles from the searched user list.
  • Press the Delete profile button to delete the selected user's profiles.
  • Users whose profiles are deleted will no longer be able to access School Information.
  • Edit tags
    • You can edit tags of a profile when a single profile from the search results is selected.

Reset all group memberships

  • Reset group memberships for all users.
  • Should be done after informing users to choose their groups for the new school year.
This action cannot be undone. Do not use it if it may cause operational difficulties.

Extract unregistered users

  • Input a CSV file of member names to extract members who are not yet registered in the Miley PTA app.
  • Use this when you need to contact members who are not using Miley, for example by distributing printed notices.
  • If the profile names registered in Miley are not real names, the comparison may not work correctly.
  • This feature requires a complete membership list, so it may be difficult to use.

Extraction flow

  • Obtain a sample CSV file and fill in the actual member names.
  • Press Choose file and select the CSV file with the member names.
  • Press the Compare check button to run the extraction process. The input CSV member list will be compared against the profile names registered in Miley PTA.
  • If the process completes successfully, the results will be extracted to a CSV file. Choose email attachment or download to get the CSV file.
  • Open the CSV file in spreadsheet software like Excel and check the names not registered in Miley PTA.
  • Spaces (half-width or full-width) in names will be removed before comparison.
  • If names include extra text such as Miley Taro (PTA President), they will not match and will appear in the remaining names list.
