Viewing a Chat Room
Display a chat room.
From the chat room list, tap the room you want to view.
- Your messages appear on the right; other members' messages appear on the left.
- Type a message in the text box at the bottom and press to send.
- Tap the chat room name at the top to view room information (creator, current member list, etc.).
Mentions
- You can use mentions to notify specific members.
- To add a mention, press to the left of the input field and select the member to mention.
Attachments
- Press to the left of the input field to choose an attachment method.
- You can attach URL links, Storage files, or local files.
Message options menu
- Press
...on a message to open the options menu. - View read status for each message.
- Delete messages you have sent.
Replies
- You can reply to messages.
- Replies are threaded in Miley's native format.
- A replied thread is updated with the reply timestamp and shown at the bottom of the message list.
You can paste URLs in chat messages; links are generated automatically. (Tapping an auto-generated link opens the page in an external browser.)
Files attached directly to chat messages are available for 30 days. After 30 days attachments may be removed, and you may see a 403 or 404 when attempting to access them.
When you access a chat room for the first time, the last 30 days of messages are retrieved. Press
View previous messages to load older messages.
