Subfolders

Information about subfolders.

Overview

  • Subfolders can be created under a folder.
  • Subfolder permissions inherit the parent folder's permissions.
  • You can create up to 2 levels of subfolders under a folder.
  • There are two types: regular folders and image folders.
  • Image folders accept only JPEG/PNG files and show thumbnails, making them ideal for managing images.

Creating a subfolder

Storage - create subfolder screen
  • Select the folder where you want to create the subfolder.
  • Press the submenu button.
  • Press Create to open the creation screen.
  • Enter the subfolder name in Folder name.
  • Select the Folder type.
  • When done, press Create.

Folder types

  • Regular folder: accepts any file type.
  • Image folder: accepts only JPEG and PNG image files.
  • When saving images outside an image folder, the file size limit is 5MB.
  • Image folders can store images up to 20MB.

Deleting a subfolder

Storage - delete subfolder
  • Select the folder that displays the subfolder you want to delete.
  • Press the submenu button.
  • Press Delete to show the delete confirmation.
  • Press next to the subfolder name to delete it.
You cannot delete a subfolder if it contains files. Please delete all files inside the subfolder before deleting it.

Editing a subfolder

  • Select the folder that contains the subfolder you want to edit.
  • Press the submenu button.
  • Press Edit to open the edit screen.
  • Change the subfolder name and press Update when finished.
