About groups

Overview and how to use the group features.

Overview

  • You can create groups that multiple users can join.
  • Groups can be selected as the recipient scope for announcements and other messages.
    • (Create groups such as 1st grade - Class 1, PTA board members, etc.)
  • You can select groups when searching users for chat or other features to bulk-select members.
  • You can organize multiple groups together using labels.

Selecting groups

  • This is the screen to select groups.
  • Groups registered in the school are listed.
  • Tap the checkbox to the left of the group name to select it.
  • You can select multiple groups.
  • If groups are organized with labels, tap a label to show the groups under it.
Groups configured with restrictions such as "Admin users only" or "School-staff only" will be grayed out and cannot be selected by users who are not in the target role (for example, non-administrators or non-staff).
