Health Check

Use to submit health check reports from parents to the school.

Overview

  • The feature was developed to help schools track students' fever status and other health indicators during the COVID era.
  • Parents submit daily health checks (temperature measurements and other symptoms) for their children at home; schools that collect daily health check records can use this feature.
  • Parents send the health checks; Confirmers (school staff) receive them.
  • You can report multiple children in a single submission.
  • If you make a mistake in the submission on the same day, resubmitting will overwrite the previous entry.
  • Reminder messages can be sent to users who have not submitted.
  • Aggregation is automated so school staff can operate easily.

Demand for health checks has decreased since the COVID classification change, so Miley PTA sets the health check feature to OFF by default. If you want to use it, enable Health Check in the admin menu settings.

Sending a health check

  • Enter the Target child's name for the health check.
  • Select the child's class in Target group.
  • Enter the child's Normal body temperature.
  • Enter the measured temperature in the temperature field.
  • Check any symptoms other than fever.
  • If there are other symptoms or concerns, enter them in the text box.
  • If you have multiple children, press Add target to add input fields for each child and fill in the required information.
  • When done, press the Send button.

Aggregating health checks

  • Go to the Contact to School aggregation screen and press Aggregate health checks.
  • Health checks often produce a large number of records (everyone submits), so individual display is not shown.
  • Obtain the CSV file aggregated on the server to review results.
  • Only verifiers can perform aggregation.

  • Select the date to aggregate (if not set, the current date is used).
  • If staff are also subject to health checks, check Include staff.
  • To send reminders to users who did not submit on a specific date, check Send reminder to non-submitters.
  • If you check Send reminder to non-submitters, you can edit the reminder message (you may also send the default text).
  • The aggregated CSV file is compressed into a password-protected Zip file; enter the password for the Zip file.
  • When input is complete, press Confirm. The CSV will be compressed into a Zip and emailed as an attachment. If reminders are enabled, non-submitters will receive reminder messages during aggregation.
Health checks often generate many records; older data may be periodically deleted. Guaranteed retention is up to one week.
